There will be 30 multiple-choice questions on your Alabama learner’s permit test, and a significant portion will be on road signs and situations. Road signs encompass every type of signage: regulatory, warning, and informational as well as pavement markings and traffic signals. You should be able to answer what a road sign means as well as what you should be doing in response to seeing it while driving. Road situations will encompass general rules of driving such as pedestrians’ right of way, entering a freeway, and changing lanes. Everything will be covered in the 2018 Alabama Driver’s Manual, specifically in chapters 5 and 6, and you’ll need to study hard, you must answer 80% of the questions, just like on this DMV practice test, correctly to pass and get your learner’s permit and be deemed a safe driver.
